Dear students:

I, Manash Kr. Mazumder, started Sacred Heart Career Academy in 2004 realizing the need for creating more educational and career facilities in the North Eastern Region and also the need for the proper guidance in the field of higher education to the students of this land who aspire to take challenges of emerging situations around the world exploring their full potential.

The institute is named SACRED HEART –proclaiming innocent and purposeful HEART.  The SHCA boosts its commitment to take extreme care of its stakeholders so that they may flourish in their personal life not only through a successful career but also having a pride in nurturing ideal human values.

Our Mission is to develop knowledge and prepare the vibrant society to constantly adapt to the innovative mindset and to match the global standard.

THE INSTITUTION

Started in 2004 – the first of its kind in Meghalaya – the Institute has a well-network system of administration with strict discipline for students & teachers. This institution provides quality education and coaching, and also provides relevant and original study material and test papers according to the prevailing pattern and approved syllabus of competitive examinations. It conducts special tutorial classes for discussing doubts of students. It remains committed to uplift the knowledge level of weak & shy students which fulfills the dream of a student.

Every year, students from every corner of the state and also from other states in North Eastern India come to SHCA for help in achieving their career goals.

Sacred Heart Career Academy (SHCA) is situated at Fire Brigade point behind P. Marbaniang Service Station in the bustling Laitumkhrah area of Shillong. Strategically located and well-connected with the public transport system, our institute provides a conducive environment for learning and growth.

Our infrastructure is designed to facilitate effective teaching and cater to the individual needs of our students. With four spacious classrooms, each accommodating up to 40 students, equipped with audio-visual facilities, we ensure an optimal learning environment conducive to interactive sessions and engaging lectures. The class sizes are deliberately maintained at an optimal level to enhance teacher-student interaction and focus on individual student requirements. Additionally, we have two office rooms equipped with computerized systems for efficient administration and accounting processes.

At SHCA, we take pride in our in-house software system developed for maintaining student records and tracking their progression. This sophisticated system enables us to monitor student performance closely and provide personalized guidance and support.

LIBRARY:

Our institution boasts a well-furnished library housing over 1,000 books spanning across various disciplines. From textbooks and reference materials to question-answer sets, competition reviews, general studies, English language, aptitude tests, and mental abilities, our library caters to the diverse academic needs of our students. Registered students have the privilege of borrowing books for a specific period, allowing them to access valuable resources to supplement their learning journey.

The library operates from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm on all working days, providing students with ample opportunity to utilize its resources and further their academic pursuits. With our comprehensive infrastructure, SHCA ensures a holistic learning experience aimed at empowering students to excel academically and achieve their career goals.

LABORATORY:

At Sacred Heart Career Academy, we understand the importance of practical learning and hands-on experimentation in the field of science. That’s why we are proud to offer state-of-the-art physics, chemistry, and biology laboratories to complement our rigorous academic curriculum.

Our physics lab is equipped with modern apparatus and equipment to conduct experiments that reinforce theoretical concepts taught in the classroom. From mechanics to optics and electromagnetism, students have the opportunity to explore various principles of physics through engaging and interactive experiments.

In our chemistry lab, students delve into the fascinating world of chemical reactions and molecular structures. With access to a wide range of chemicals, glassware, and instruments, students perform experiments that deepen their understanding of chemical concepts and principles.

Our biology lab provides students with the opportunity to explore the wonders of the living world through hands-on experimentation. Equipped with microscopes, slides, specimens, and other essential tools, students engage in practical activities that enhance their understanding of biological processes and phenomena.

Under the guidance of experienced faculty members, students in our labs not only gain practical skills but also develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical abilities. These laboratories serve as dynamic learning environments where students can apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios, fostering a deeper appreciation and love for the sciences.
